34 questions
General
Does the wearer need a smartphone?
No. GCARE connects on its own — the wearer never needs to own, carry or charge a paired smartphone. Family members or caregivers use the app on their own phones.
Is there a monitoring centre?
No. GCARE does not include a central monitoring centre. Alerts are sent directly to the wearer's own designated contacts, who decide how to respond.
Does GCARE call emergency services automatically?
No. GCARE alerts the wearer's designated contacts. Those contacts decide whether to contact emergency services, based on the situation.
Does GCARE diagnose illness?
No. GCARE provides trend-based wellbeing and safety monitoring. It is not a diagnostic medical device and does not replace a medical professional's assessment.
How many contacts can receive alerts?
Up to three alert contacts can be associated with each wearer.
Can I use English in Germany?
Yes. Market (country of purchase) and language are independent — you can browse and order in English while your market is set to Germany.
Can I use German in the UK?
Yes, the same independence applies in the other direction — choose German while your market is set to the United Kingdom.
How do I contact support?
Visit the Support Centre or the Contact page — choose the reason for your enquiry and we'll route it appropriately.
Where can I download instructions?
The Instructions & Certificates page lists user guides and quick start instructions, filterable by language and category.
Wearing & Charging
How does charging work?
Use the provided magnetic charging cable. A full charge takes about 2–3 hours with a 2A charger, and the battery lasts up to about 5 days depending on signal strength.
Can I shower or swim while wearing GCARE?
No, GCARE is not designed for showering or swimming. It is safe to wear continuously otherwise, including overnight.
When is a removal ("bracelet off") alert sent?
If the bracelet is off the wrist for roughly 20–40 minutes, contacts may receive a removal alert. This is expected while charging.
SOS & Fall Detection
Who receives an SOS alert?
SOS alerts go directly to the wearer's designated alert contacts (up to three), not to a call centre. Contacts can call back immediately over two-way voice.
Can fall detection miss a fall?
Yes. Automatic fall detection can identify certain fall events, but no automatic fall-detection system can guarantee detection of every fall. Very strong or sudden arm movements may occasionally trigger a false alert.
How do I trigger an SOS alert?
Press and hold the main button. The bracelet confirms the SOS is being sent, then alerts the wearer's designated contacts with a callback number.
What happens if I press SOS by accident?
Contacts can simply call back to confirm everything is fine. There is no penalty for a false alarm.
Can I test the SOS function?
Yes — testing it occasionally, for example once a month, is a good habit.
Vital Trends & First 10 Days
What does GCARE measure?
GCARE tracks heart-rate, SpO₂, temperature and indicative blood-pressure trends, plus daily step activity, using optical sensors on the underside of the bracelet.
What happens during the first 10 days?
GCARE builds a personal baseline of the wearer's normal patterns. SOS, fall detection, removal alerts and low-battery alerts work from day one; some trend-based health alerts may need this learning period before becoming fully active.
Connectivity
How does location support work?
GCARE shares location information with authorized contacts through the app so they can understand where a wearer is when it matters.
Family App
Can I change alert contacts?
Yes, authorized contacts can be updated. Exact self-service steps will be confirmed as the account/app experience is finalized — contact support for changes in the meantime.
How often does the app update?
Roughly every 20 minutes under normal connectivity, so the family app reflects recent status without excessive battery use.
Subscription & Billing
Does the bracelet belong to me?
Yes. The bracelet you purchase belongs to you — it is never rental equipment, whether you choose a monthly plan or a prepaid bundle.
What happens if a payment fails?
You'll be notified and asked to update your payment method. A grace period applies before service is affected; exact timing is being finalized.
When does my service start?
Paid service is intended to start once your bracelet is delivered, not on the order or payment date — shipping time is never deducted from your plan.
Can I renew an existing bracelet?
Yes — use the Renew flow. Renewals never include a new device price or shipping charge.
What happens when my prepaid plan ends?
You'll receive reminders before your prepaid period ends and can choose to renew — prepaid bundles never renew automatically.
Does the 12-month prepaid bundle (B12) automatically renew?
No. B12 and B24 prepaid bundles do not renew automatically.
Does the 24-month prepaid bundle (B24) automatically renew?
No. Like B12, the B24 bundle does not renew automatically.
Orders & Shipping
Can I buy more than one bracelet?
Yes — you can order 1 to 4 bracelets per online consumer order.
Can I buy four bracelets in one order?
Yes, four is the maximum for a direct consumer order, each with its own wearer and alert-contact details.
What if I need more than four bracelets?
For larger quantities, please visit For Organizations — we support care homes, home-care providers and other organizations with volume needs.
How quickly is my device dispatched?
Orders are dispatched within 2 working days of a paid order. This is a dispatch target, not a guaranteed delivery date.
Which countries can buy online?
Direct online ordering is currently available for Austria, Germany and the United Kingdom (including Northern Ireland).
