Understanding GCARE's first 10 days

2 June 2026

When a new GCARE bracelet is switched on, it doesn't yet know what 'normal' looks like for its wearer. Over the first 10 days, it quietly builds a personal baseline — the everyday range of heart rate, activity and other trends specific to that person.

SOS, fall-event detection, removal alerts and low-battery alerts are all active from day one, because they don't depend on a personal baseline. Some trend-based health alerts, on the other hand, are calibrated during this learning period so that later alerts reflect what's genuinely unusual for that individual rather than a generic average.

In practice, this means the first 10 days are less about waiting and more about GCARE quietly getting to know its wearer, so that everything afterward is more personal and more accurate.
